I bought this netting as an inexpensive cover for my chicken yard. The 1/4 inch size is perfect and protects smaller birds from entanglement. It is quite strong as my horse can net break though it with his nose! However, it will not float on top of my goldfish pond. It needs to be staked down at the edges.

I used the netting to secure our pond from ducks and a heron. They were able to take most of our fish prior to the netting. The fish are now safe.
